Birdo is my favorite gender confused video game character

As a kid I loves Super Mario 2. For readers unfamiliar with the game, Super Mario 2 started out as Doki Doki Panic and Japan and was Americanized as a Mario game because of the original Mario 2’s difficulty. Yes, Nintendo made the sequel easier for american children. The original Super Mario 2 (called the lost levels) was a traditional side scroller with difficult jumps and levels.
Any how back to the post, 61 Frames per second wrote a great article about a boss character named Birdo. He apparently to the instruction booklet was a cross dressing moster:
“Birdo thinks he is a girl and likes to be called Birdetta. He likes to wear a bow on his head and shoot eggs from his mouth.”
So thanks to Nintendo, I learned about cross dressing at the age of 7 and had my first red bow at 9.
